01The problem

Customers judge your business online before they ever call.

Most people check you out online before they get in touch. If your website is missing, dated or hard to use, they don’t complain. They just quietly pick someone else, and you never hear about it.

Ozlec Equipment Hire

Cable installing & haulage equipment hire · Ipswich, QLD

Ozlec Equipment website homepage with the headline What do you need on site? and an equipment search bar
Ozlec Equipment Hire website on a phone
The business
Cable installing & haulage equipment hire, based in Ipswich, QLD.
The challenge
Ozlec's old website was owned by the previous developer, so the business couldn't change it. The owner wanted a site he owns outright and can update himself, adding and removing hire items without breaking anything. It also needed to make a large range of cable hauling equipment easy to search.
What we built
We built the site on WordPress so the owner has full control. Every hire item is its own listing, with a live search bar, category filters and a multi-item quote list. Customers add each item and quantity to one list and send it as a single enquiry, and the owner gets one request with everything the job needs.

Little Red Skips

Skip bin hire · Shepparton & Goulburn Valley, VIC

Little Red Skips website homepage showing red skip bins at sunset with a call button and quote request button
Little Red Skips website on a phone
The business
Skip bin hire, based in Shepparton & Goulburn Valley, VIC.
The challenge
Little Red Skips needed a brand and a website that made a local skip bin business easy to choose. People hiring a bin want quick answers: which size do I need, do you deliver to my area, and how do I book? The site had to answer all three and get them talking to Joey fast.
What we built
We designed the Little Red Skips logo and a bold red website built around two actions: call Joey or request a quote. Every bin size, from 2m³ mini skips to 37m³ hook bins, comes with a plain English guide to what it suits, alongside labour services, a simple four step process and the local areas serviced. We also set up the local SEO foundations and Google Business Profile to help the business show up when people across the Goulburn Valley search for skip bins.

North East River Fly Guiding

Fly fishing guide · Benalla, VIC

North East River Fly Guiding website homepage with the trout logo, river photos and Rates and Booking button
North East River Fly Guiding website on a phone
The business
Fly fishing guide, based in Benalla, VIC.
The challenge
John guides fly fishing trips on the rivers of North East Victoria's High Country and runs casting lessons in Benalla. His clients range from complete beginners to experienced anglers, so the website had to explain what a guided day involves, what's supplied and what it costs, in a way that feels as relaxed and welcoming as the trips themselves.
What we built
We designed the trout logo and brand, then built the website around real photos from the rivers. It covers everything that's included, from waders and tackle to catering, the rivers John fishes, including the Goulburn, Ovens, King, Buckland and Kiewa, rates for half and full day trips, the gear and a gallery. We also set up the SEO foundations and Google Business Profile so people searching for fly fishing guides and casting lessons in the region can find the business.

SSASH Care Services website homepage with the headline Compassionate Care for Your Loved Ones in gold and white
SSASH Care Services website on a phone
The business
Aged care & NDIS support, based in Albury Wodonga region.
The challenge
SSASH Care Services provides aged care, home care and NDIS support across the Albury Wodonga region, built on family values. The people looking for care are often worried family members, or participants reading about their options for the first time. The brand and website needed to feel warm and trustworthy while explaining a wide range of services clearly.
What we built
We created the SSASH brand and designed a website that leads with compassion and clarity. Services are grouped into NDIS and disability support, home care, and companion and community support, and the Person-Centred Planning approach is explained step by step. The mission, values, 24/7 availability and several ways to get in touch all sit on one easy to follow page. We also set up the SEO foundations and Google Business Profile so families searching locally can find them.

Canberra Southside Detailing website homepage with the headline Premium Mobile Car Detailing and a Get a Free Quote button
Canberra Southside Detailing website on a phone
The business
Mobile car detailing, based in Canberra, ACT.
The challenge
Canberra Southside Detailing is a mobile car detailing business covering Canberra's southside, Queanbeyan and Googong. With several packages, add-ons and a long list of suburbs, it needed a premium brand and a website that made it easy for customers to pick the right detail, check they're in the service area and book.
What we built
We designed the brand and a premium website with clearly priced packages, from an exterior detail through to paint correction and ceramic coating, plus add-ons. Before and after sliders show real results, the full list of suburbs covered sits on the page, and a Book Now button stays in the header. 05Why Vortex

We’re your website team. Not just another agency you pay.

Vortex was started in 2025 by two friends, Leo and Will. We’re based in Benalla, Victoria, and we work with small and large businesses right across Australia.

Read our reviews and you’ll see clients talk about clear communication and fair pricing, not just the finished website. That part matters to us just as much.

  1. Real people

You deal directly with the people designing and building your website. Not an account manager passing notes along.

  2. We learn your business first

We don’t build a generic site and slap your logo on it. We want to know how you work, who your customers are and how you win jobs.

  3. Plain English, always

No agency jargon. If something’s technical, we explain it properly. If you don’t need something, we’ll tell you.

  4. A fixed quote

You know the agreed price before any work starts. No hourly billing and no surprise invoices.

  5. Your business, your website

The site should reflect your business and your customers, not our ego. You review it and we get it right before it goes live.

  6. We don’t disappear

The relationship doesn’t end at launch. When you need a change or some advice, you know exactly who to talk to.

06What we build

Not just a nice-looking website. One that does its job.

Every project is quoted on what your business actually needs, so the exact mix is up to you. These are the pieces we look at on every build. Help with your domain, hosting and Google setup is available too.

  • Strategy

We learn how your business wins work, so the site is planned around your customers, not a template.

  • Custom design

A look that fits your brand and matches the quality of what you do.

  • Development

A fast, solid website that works on every phone, tablet and desktop.

  • Website copy

Clear words that explain what you do in your customers’ language. Send us a brain dump, we’ll shape it.

  • SEO foundations

Clean structure, proper titles and a sitemap, so Google can understand your site from day one.

  • Built to convert

Every page has one obvious next step: call, book or ask for a quote.

  • Performance

Optimised images and lean code, so pages load quickly, even on patchy regional reception.

  • Ongoing support

After launch you still have a team that knows your site and your business. You always know who to ask.

07How it works

Seven simple steps. Zero guesswork.

You always know what’s happening next, and what it costs.

Steps 1 to 3 cost nothing. You can stop after any of them, no hard feelings.

08Still on the fence?

Fair enough. Here’s the honest answer.

These are the things people usually think before they get in touch. Tap one.

You’re thinking“I need to think about it.”
Vortex

Completely fine. That's what the quote is for. You get a fixed price and a clear picture of what you'd be getting, so you can make the call in your own time. No follow-up pressure, no "this price ends Friday".

You’re thinking“My mate can build one.”
Vortex

They might. But a good business website isn't just pages on the internet. It has to represent your business properly, earn a stranger's trust in a few seconds, work on every phone and make it dead easy to get in touch. That's the part we obsess over. Get the quote anyway and compare.

You’re thinking“It's probably too expensive.”
Vortex

It depends on what your business actually needs, which is exactly why we don't do one-size-fits-all pricing. A simple site costs less than a big one, and having us own and look after the website keeps the upfront cost lower. We talk it through first, then you get a fixed quote. No guessing.

You’re thinking“Isn't this all just AI now?”
Vortex

We use AI tools where they genuinely help, and we're upfront about it. What AI can't do is get to know your business, make the strategy and design calls, check every detail or look after you when you need something. That's the job we do, and it's why every site ends up built around the business it's for.

You’re thinking“I don't really know what I need.”
Vortex

Most people don't, and that's normal. That's what the 15-minute chat is for. You tell us how your business works and what you want more of, and we'll tell you what makes sense (and what doesn't).

You’re thinking“I'll get back to you.”
Vortex

No worries. We'd rather work with people who feel good about the decision. The call exists to give you clarity on what you need and what it'll cost. What you do with that is up to you.

09FAQs

Good questions. Straight answers.

Can’t see yours? Ask it in the quote form, or email admin@vortexmarketing.com.au.

How much does a website cost?

It depends on what your business needs: how many pages, which features (like bookings or an online store), how much writing we do for you, and whether you want to own the website outright or have us own and look after it. That's why we don't publish a one-size-fits-all price. After a short chat, you get a fixed quote for your project.

How do you price websites?

Every quote is built from your actual requirements. There are two main ways to go. We can own, host and look after the website for you, which keeps the upfront cost lower, with changes charged as you need them. Or you can own the website outright, which costs more. We explain both on the call, and the option you choose is written into your quote.

How long does a website take?

It depends on the size of the site and how quickly things like photos and text come together. We give you a realistic timeline with your quote, before you commit to anything.

What's included?

Your quote spells out exactly what's included. Most builds cover planning, custom design, development, mobile-friendly layouts, website copy, SEO foundations and enquiry or booking forms. Help with your domain, hosting and Google setup is available too.

Do I need to provide the content?

No. Send us what you have, whether that's photos, a few notes or a rough brain dump, and we'll shape it into finished pages. Real photos of your work, team or premises always help.

Do you build mobile websites?

Every website we build is designed to work properly on phones, tablets and desktops. For most businesses, a phone is where customers see the site first, so that's where we start.

Can you help with SEO?

Every site is built with SEO foundations: fast pages, a clean structure, proper page titles and descriptions, and a sitemap so Google can understand it. Nobody can honestly guarantee rankings. If you want ongoing work to grow your visibility, we offer SEO as a separate service.

Can you redesign my existing website?

Yes. Sometimes it makes sense to improve what you have, and sometimes it's faster and cheaper to rebuild. We'll tell you honestly which one suits your situation, even if it means less work for us.

Can you build a website if I don't have one?

Absolutely. Plenty of businesses come to us with no website at all. We'll help you sort out the domain name too.

What about my domain name?

You can buy the domain yourself, or we can buy it on your behalf and charge you for it. Either way, we set it up and make sure it points to your new website.

Do you provide hosting?

Yes. If we own and look after the website for you, hosting and the technical side are handled by us. If you'd rather own the website outright, we'll talk through hosting on the call.

Can you manage my website after launch?

Yes. Send through what you need changed and we'll take care of it. Depending on your package, changes are charged as you need them, and we'll always tell you the cost first.

Do I own my website?

That's your choice. You can own the website outright, which costs more, or we can own and look after it for you at a lower price. We talk through both on the call, and the option you choose is written into your quote.

Do you use AI?

Yes, as a tool, where it genuinely helps. The strategy, design decisions, customisation, quality checks and looking after you are done by us. We'd rather be honest about it than pretend otherwise.

What happens after I request a quote?

We read through your answers, then get in touch to organise a short 15-minute chat. After the call, we send you a fixed quote. Then it's entirely your decision.

Do I have to go ahead after getting a quote?

No. The quote is free and there's no obligation. If it's not right for you, that's completely fine.

How does the 20% deposit work?

Once you're happy with your quote and want to go ahead, a 20% deposit gets your project started. You review the finished website, and the remaining balance is paid once you've approved it, before it goes live.
